Neon Draft Rally
Neon Draft Rally skips the simulation stuff and goes straight for the fun: tight corners, a satisfying boost, and a drafting system that rewards you for tucking in behind rivals. The sense of speed is genuinely good, and the tracks are designed so you can read the next turn even at full throttle.
Control options are generous. You can steer by tilt, by on-screen buttons, or by a single-touch auto-steer that's less boring than it sounds for casual runs. We stuck with buttons and never felt the game was fighting us.
It's not a deep career mode and the car progression is thin, but for five-minute races it's one of the better arcade racers we've tried lately. Heat built up on long marathon sessions, so cap the graphics if you're playing for a while.
What we liked
- Three distinct control schemes
- Great sense of speed
- Tracks you can actually read at pace
